Chris’ passion for clients and accounting started at Price Waterhouse in the early ’90s. As a chartered accountant, Chris has worked with businesses globally to drive financial strategy and performance, bringing a ruthless focus on improving performance and efficiency and driving down costs. He’s a small business advocate, always striving to give his clients insight into their business performance.
Chris is the CEO and co-founder of Aretex and leads with a big heart. With his passion for working with business owners, he shares the desire to succeed and uses his global experience to deliver world-class service to each of his clients, helping them solve problems.
What's Driving His Passion?
Chris lived the bad bookkeeping problem as an accountant who found it impossible to watch the low-level accounting services that failed to deliver what the business needed. He couldn’t sit back as small businesses suffered at the hands of catch up, compliance-driven bookkeeping that didn’t serve the business. His goal is to “disrupt” the traditional bookkeeping industry by delivering a Business Process Outsourcing solution that combines people, process and technology to deliver a total, shared service solution.
As a result, he now provides his clients with key information to help them improve performance. He believes using technology delivers real-time information while his hands-on approach as a partner to his clients puts them in control of their business. By leveraging the A-Team to deliver the daily services, each client gets the benefit of a dedicated, scalable team of professionals that provides them with the information they need to run their business.
How Does He Overcome Challenges?
Chris helps his clients navigate the challenges of building a business and executing a business plan. He understands the frustrations they face, especially the inaccurate, inconsistent, and untimely financial information that keeps them from making smart, data-driven decisions. Instead of compliance-driven bookkeeping, it’s all about improved efficiencies and high-quality real-time information that helps his clients succeed.
He believes small business is the engine room of the economy, providing employment for the community and nurturing growth. As someone who can actually play a small part in his client’s business success, he believes that every small business he works with is also helping his community.
